EVENT IN CONTEXT
This event was organised by the e-Assessment Association to launch the e-Portfolio Special Interest Group (SIG). The aim: To provide a forum for those interested or involved in the development and implementation of e-Portfolios, offering the opportunity to discuss their role and impact in learning and teaching.
OBJECTIVES

About the Presenters
Embedding e-Portfolios in Everyday Learning Stuart Jones Until March 2008, Stuart was Assistant Director Teaching and Learning at Becta where he led the national strategic forums for e-Assessment, e-Portfolios and effective use of data in learning and teaching. His role also included strategic and policy advice, providing comment on national strategy to other Government Agencies and on occasion direct advice to Government regarding technology and education issues.
Maximising Effective Use of e-Portfolios in Further Education Craig Strangwick Craig is the Systems Manager for ABC Awards and is currently advising on ABC’s eStrategy. Since joining ABC, Craig has designed and deployed the Awards Management System and Online Registration System which operate across ABC’s four regional offices and network of Centres. Current projects include providing online services for Moderators and Examiners.
Use of e-Portfolios in Higher Education Kevin Brace Kevin is the HE Co-ordinator at the JISC Regional Support Centre West Midlands. He was in the steering group that helped shape the recent JISC e-Portfolio infokit, and has run various events across the region over the past few years promoting the effectiveness of e-Portfolios for personalised learning. Interoperability between Centres and Accreditation Bodies – a new British Standard Matt Wingfield Matt is the Business Development Director of TAG Developments and Secretary/Membership Secretary of the e-Assessment Association, bringing over nine years experience of the UK education market, including seven years as a primary school teacher and ICT Coordinator. Matt is dedicated to building close and highly productive partnerships with key stakeholders within education, so that through the range of innovative online assessment and moderation systems, teachers and students gain the most out of using effective ICT as an integral part of teaching and learning.
